Diversity Scholarship Program
We recognize the sport of triathlon needs greater diversity of participants, and we feel strongly that it is our responsibility to do what we can to help. Therefore, we offer a diversity scholarship program to encourage individuals who identify as from an under-represented group to enter the sport of triathlon.
The program will cover the cost of a one-year membership to our team and entry into a local sprint triathlon race. Additionally, as a member of our team, athletes will have access to our mentorship program and all our training events, including local open water swims, bike clinics, run workouts, and everything needed to feel ready for a first race! Most of our team events are located in the Somerville/Cambridge/Medford area with ride-sharing options when we meet further away. While we are not able to provide equipment, we will do our best to help find affordable used and rental options.
Applicants that identify as part of an under-represented group (including BIPOC, Latinx, queer, transgender, or anyone who feels excluded from the triathlon community) and are new to the sport will be prioritized.
